i caught it here on the new york times this morning a ways down in a line of videos streaming the latest news from libya.

it’s al jazeera reporting on the newly acquired role of women in benghazi whose husbands, sons and brothers have taken to the front lines of the conflict.

i don’t know exactly what’s going on over there, and i’m trying to read more on it, but i found it so moving.
teams of women, left behind, gathering as though in another tier of the army, making sandwiches and hot meals to feed their men.

it’s incredible to think that in war love can exist so boldly.
