drop it in the box.

our mayoral election is today. the last one brought out 28% turnout. dismal. considering the team leading vancouver is the closest level of government within our reach, it’s pretty darn important.

so hailey and i worked a couple afternoons this week alongside a street team to promote voting. not, “vote for this guy, this party sucks, get in a lefty or a righty”, but just, VOTE.

i know i shouldn’t have been surprised by the level of apathy, but i was. especially in the days of occupying it seems only basic to want to have your say. even the old, crazy dude that spit on the ground and cursed out politics yesterday, get out and vote. your disillusionment while standing in line at tim hortons helps no one.
