the land.

alberta gives you a good kind of lonesome. you get on these wide landscapes, driving along a pin-straight road, and you can breathe. the wind feels bigger.
instead of a city crowding out the room, stuffing up the place, you get sleeping lands that give your heart an inch to move. to feel lonesome.
to feel anything, really.
the land is always alone and when you’re in it, it lends a bit of that to you. allows you to feel uninterrupted.

you need that. you need your version of that

and you need stuff like this song. it was in my head the whole time i was home.
